IST Opportunities at Moot 2025 - Praia de Cortegaça, Ovar
1. Privacy and Data Protection
The World Scout Moot 2025 organization prioritizes your privacy. Only essential personal data is collected·such as name, email, participant ID, country of origin, payment method, and activity details·and used solely for purchase management, communication, logistics, and safety. Data is securely stored and deleted 90 days after the event unless legal obligations require otherwise.
2. Payments
All payments are made in Euros (EUR) via secure SSL-encrypted platforms. Accepted payment methods will be listed in the online store. Bookings are personal, non-transferable, and only confirmed upon successful payment.
3. Changes and Cancellations
Changes to bookings are allowed until July 14, 2025, subject to availability and schedule compatibility.
4. Refunds and Returns
Full refunds will only be issued in the event of:- Activity cancellation by the organization;- Weather or logistical conditions preventing the activity.
No refunds will be granted for participant cancellations under any circumstances. Requests must be submitted via email to refunds@worldscoutmoot.pt with justification and supporting documentation.
5. Security
All transactions are encrypted. The organization does not store full payment card details.
6. Subcontracted Activity Execution and Marketplace Model
Activities purchased through the online store will not be delivered directly by the World Scout Moot 2025 organization, but rather by carefully selected partner providers. These partners are solely responsible for the execution of the activities and operate under their own policies, safety standards, and liability frameworks.
This model follows a Marketplace structure, similar to the one used by Worten, where:- The purchase is made via the World Scout Moot platform, but the contractual relationship for service delivery is established directly between the participant and the partner provider.- The organization acts as an intermediary, facilitating the booking and payment process.- Each partner is responsible for their own terms of service, privacy policy, and operational guarantees.- The organization is not liable for operational changes, delays, or incidents arising from the partner·s execution of the activity, except in cases of contractual breach or proven negligence in partner selection.
Participants are encouraged to review the specific terms and conditions of each partner before finalizing their booking. By completing a purchase, the participant accepts the partner·s conditions and acknowledges that the World Scout Moot 2025 organization is not the direct provider of the activity.
7. Site Usage Conditions
Experiences are only available to Volunteers (non-participant elements) at the Moot.
The store may contain links to other websites, which may contain useful information/tools for its users.
8. Changes to the Organization Site and these Terms and Conditions
The Organization reserves the right to modify at any time, without prior notice, the presentation and content of the Site, its services, and these Terms and Conditions, safeguarding the acquired rights regarding contracts already concluded and in execution. These modifications will serve to improve the Site and, simultaneously, the services offered to the User who, if they do not agree with the changes introduced, may cease using the Site.
9. Product and Price Information
The Organization considers the information regarding the essential characteristics of the products through technical descriptions shared by its suppliers or third parties, photographs, and videos that illustrate the products sold.
The Organization provides on its Site, clearly, the total price of each good or service, including taxes and fees, additional transportation charges, or any other applicable charges.
10. Product Availability
All products on the Site are available for order, except for stockouts. The products available on the Site have limited stock, so they may become unavailable without notice.
11. Order Processing and Delivery
The order will only be processed after confirmation of the respective payment, and the Customer will be informed by email of the confirmation of the sale of the product/service and the availability of the Voucher at the IST OFFICE.
12. Disputes
The Organization is not a party to the purchase and sale contract concluded between the Sellers and the Customer. Therefore, disputes should be resolved directly between the Customer and the Sellers, and the Organization may eventually act as an intermediary in resolving.
13. Responsibility
The Organization is not responsible for the content and information provided which are entirely their responsibility.
The Organization is not responsible for sales concluded through the Marketplace, and any complaint regarding the purchase should be directed to the Sellers, who are responsible for the purchase and sale contracts between the Customer and the Sellers.
14. Personal Data Policy
The Organization processes the Customer's personal data within the scope of the online account and the associated Customer Program to enable the Customer to access their purchase history, identify potential consumption preferences, including profiling, based on the search and purchase history on the Organization Site.
In each specific purchase, the Organization processes transaction data in the execution of the purchase and sale contract for products or services provided by the Organization on the Organization Site or in the respective pre-contractual diligences at the Customer's request (data subject). This includes billing, delivery, payment, and return data.
15. Recipients of Personal Data
The Organization only transmits the Customers' personal data to the Tax Authority and other entities that need to receive them due to legal obligations or to fulfill the purchase and sale contract.
